The Life of Reidy

I heard through the rumor mill that they are making Nintendo's classic "Metroid" series into a feature film. Haven't studios learned anything yet, video game movies are a cool idea but rarely do they ever merit owning on that ol' DVD shelf. Tomb Raider, Doom, Silent Hill, and Resident Evil managed to sneak by making decent business, but then there have been extreme flops which I will only mention as the Super Mario Brothers movie. If any video game movie did it right, it would have to be Mortal Kombat which is kind of ironic because at the time of the movie's release it did not have too much to work with aside from just the characters themselves.
