Amusing Wedding Ring Story

A couple of months ago, as most of your know, I was in the show "Tommy" as the part of Captain Walker. Therefore, my character was a married man for the entire show. So in order to properly get into character, I felt it was necessary to go and get an actual wedding ring that I could use as a prop on stage, and even take a few moments for my performance to refer to it, as if it was one of my greatest motivations to keep going. Since the play pretty much skipped the proposal stage, the ring would have to first appear at the actual wedding itself. And here's a lovely photo for a trip down memory lane:

Anyway, the amusing part was actually when I went to go get the prop ring itself. Now remember folks, I have no idea about how much any sort of wedding jewelry costs, let alone jewelry itself. So I didn't know what to expect when I went into a couple of jewelry stores in downtown Salem. I didn't really bother to explain that it was for a show and I just needed something that would look like a mens wedding ring and could easily be cheaper material then what it actually was. But it was too late to mention that after I already got a 300 dollar ring that was too small for me stuck around my finger. The jewelery people gave me such a snotty attitude after they found out I had no intention of paying that much for a prop wedding ring, and my mission pretty much failed. But what did they expect? I obviously look way to young to be getting married anytime soon. But then again, I know a couple of people my age who are already hitched, so I guess you never know.
