At The Drive-In
Though it may be a great band, I'm actually refering to going to Drive-In movies themselves. We always see it in those classic movies where the characters go to the drive-in movies in their pimped out 50's cars, and then the next morning they are dragging their mean machines through a few Street Racing rounds. If only that was how real life was, because I've only been to the Drive-In once and it was not such an exciting experience. My girlfriend at the time and I went and saw a double feature of Jeepers Creepers 2 and Freddy Vs. Jason, and since we didn't really plan it out to well our car battery died. They make you listen to the audio through your car radio, and silly us left the car at the wrong sitting and halfway through the movies the battery just kicked out. Not to mention that Jeepers Creepers 2 was terrible, even though Freddy Vs. Jason was pretty awesome. And of course, we got stuck in a long line of cars as we were trying to leave, and we all know how much I LOVE traffic.
So even though it wasn't the perfect experience of Drive-In moviegoings like you see in the movies, SPEEDtv will be featuring Speed's own "Lost Drive-In" Marathon on Nov 25 at 3pm EST featuring Grand Prix and Rebel Without a Cause. These kind of films harken back to that golden age of Drive-In movies, when maybe life was a little more simpler and those Drive-In lots weren't so sketchy. And thankfully you can just stay at home for this one.
By the way, this was another paid post sponsored by Speedtv.com
