Musical Films
I need to analyze a musical film for a research paper. Unfortunately, animated films are out of the question which is too bad because I was hoping to do a film analysis on "The Nightmare Before Christmas." We also can't do any films we fully screened in class which leaves the oh so obvious "Moulin Rouge" and the oh so hilarious "Everyone Says I Love You" out of the picture. So I was trying to think of a film that people wouldn't really think at first is actually a musical film but through careful analysis can be proven so.
So now I'm thinking "School Of Rock." Think about it! It's a classic tale of a nobody turning himself into somebody, and though it may not be he lives out his original dreams but this slacker finds his true talent and positively effects the lives of others. Theres plenty of rising and falling in the plot and of course it is also LOADED with songs!
If not, it's back to the drawing board for me.
