New Bond
I got to check out the new James Bond flick and I need to express my excitement for thias film. Not since "Goldeneye" have I enjoyed a Bond movie as much as I enjoyed "Casino Royale," and maybe the only reason I liked that one so much was because of the N64 game that went along with it. Daniel Craig brought an all new, totally bad-ass approach to the character of James Bond who is usually pretty suave and sophisticated in his manners. Craig still had the style down but he was certainly a Bond who did not mind getting his hands dirty. It was just so much more relatable and enjoyable to watch Bond do his work without the need of the ridiculous gizmos. Even the femme fatales of this Bond flick had complete character archs and weren't just todays hottest actress stapled within the movie.
The film did run a bit long, and there are times you may feel the film should have ended a few minutes ago. But just trust the filmmakers this time, and let them take you in for the ride because the payoff is well worth the wait. This and "The Departed" were some of the best movies I've seen on the silver screen almost all year. Check it out before "Unaccompanyed Minors" comes in and knocks it out of the mainstream theaters.
