Wii Action

I got to play some of the Wii over the weekend, and while it's certainly not the most technologically amazing thing ever created, it sure was a heck of a lot of fun to play. The sports demo disc that came with the system alone was enough to keep my friends and I satisfied for quite some time. I really enjoyed the Tennis and Baseball simulators the most, even though my friends and I almost destroied some furniture from swinging the controllers around. I wasn't so impressed with the Boxing simulation, it seemed rather unresponsive to me, but maybe that's just how the mechanics of the game worked. It certianly showed crazy amounts of potential for the future of video gaming, and that is a promise I am willing to bank on.

I was instantly sold when I played the Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess for about ten minutes. It was amazing how much control I now had over Link and his actions, I could be equipping one item while swinging the Master Sword all in one, beatuifully swift motion. I can't wait to buckle down and actually play out the whole game to see what kind of entry into the world of Hyrule that Nintendo has to offer this time.
