Civil War
I used to be quite a decent comic book reader abck in the day, but have had a falling out for the past few years.
Until now.
My buddies Kevin and Paul got me into this amazing saga that is the Marvel Civil War series. Not only is it some of the most amazing comic books I have ever read, but they are also wonderful social commentary to many issues that are going on in our world today. But even if you aren't into that stuff, theres still lots of juicy good things to love about these first three books, with the final four nearing release in the next few months.
The plot basically revolves around a new superhero registration act (which is basically released because of the horrors that can come from reality tv) and what sides the Marvel superheroes decide to take. On one hand, you have Iron Man leading a respectable group of legal superheroes fighting in the name of the registration act, though they don't always agree on why they think it was the right choice. On the other hand you have Captain America leading an underground rebellion against the registration act, believing it goes against that which makes them who they are and what they stand for. The series is nothing short of action-packed, intense, page turning goodness.
I can't wait for number four, I need to know what the hell Thor is doing here.
Until now.
