Online Poker
I have always been a fan of playing poker with my buddies here in college, but I have never actaully tried to take my gambling adventures online. I think if I were going to I would consider PokerDIY. I heard about them through this amusing little YouTube video but even checking out their web site I was pretty impressed. It's pretty much a free online poker service that easily connects you to other playes online. You can even set up leagues, or just bum around on their forums. Either way the site is pretty user friendly, and I recommend it to all you fellow poker junkies. Check them out at this link: PokerDIY - Find Live Poker Games and Leagues where the poker action doesn't stop!

Console Wars
The next-generation of video game systems doesn't look too even as it has bene in the past. The X-Box 360 is already out and is doing just as decent as the X-Box did, but once November rolls around gamers will also have the choice between the Playstation 3 and the Nintenro Wii. Sadly, things do not look to great for Sony. They have created an improved and powerful system, but there has been no hype for any of its games, not even it's Blu-Ray Technology. I think this holiday season, Nintendo will pretty much dominate with the Wii. Not only have they developed amazing new ways to play games, but they also created a system that is backwards compatable for all the retro gamers and will even please new gamers with strong titles to support it. Not to mention the price will be right, I know where my gaming efforts will be headed this winter. Sorry Sony, maybe next generation.
Dyson
Most of my readers know, I'm a pretty big neat freak. In fact, I just cleaned my room about an hour before I sat down and blogged today. Regardless, I'm always looking for new products and efficient methods for all my cleaning needs, because I feel we deserve the right to live in a clean area. Apparently, the Dyson company feels we need to be clean as well, because while I was surfing the web I stumbled across their vacuum cleaners and how amazingly efficient their models are. You can check them out on that link there for yourself, but I would like to point out how powerful these machnies are and how little energy they actually use for an instant, powerful cleaning job. And for the cleaning geeks like me they've even developed a lovely product known as the Dyson Airblade hand drier which can dry your hands in 10 seconds and use 83% less energy then normal hand driers, while making use of their anti-bacterial technology. If your into being as clean as I am, give those links a click or two.

Frank Miller's "300"
We all know by now that I'm pretty into comic books, and I just found out that Frank Miller's "300" will be getting it's own big screen adaptation in 2007. Most people know Frank Miller by now for the huge success that was "Sin City," but he also had successful runs with other established comic characters like Spider-man, and currently he is working on a run of Batman which I have heard nothing but good things. This comic, "300," was more of an epic story about 300 spartans who fought to the death against the Persian armies, and it will be very interesting to see what they do with the big screen version of it. I can assure you, they won't be able to cheat like Robert Rodriguez did and make the whole movie in his freaking garage. Check out the trailer here.
New Car
Hey there avid readers, I need to take this time to mention about how as much as I would love it...my classic Jeep Wrangler will not last forever. I've been looking over ads for new kinds of dream cars, that I will hopefully aspire to owning one day and I think if I got my choice I would go with an Audi. I was browsing their website the other day, and although they aren't one of the most popular brands I think they are some of the better looking, more efficient vehicles out there on the market. Not only are their car models slick and simple, but the can come very customizable to cater to peoples specific needs (they even have bulletproof cars, perfect for my new life in LA, hah). And one of my favorite parts about Audi is their commitment to the environment. All of their vehicles are built to cleanly and able to last for long times to conserve, and they even use recycled parts for most of their repairs, with a full guarentee. If you are looking into new luxury cars as well, you should check out what they have to offer at their website.

Marijuana
Wacky scientists will make up excuses for anything. Apparently now they are saying that there is a possibility that marijuana might contain a key ingredient to fighting Alzheimer's disease. There is an interesting little article about it at LiveScience.com which goes into the details of it, but of course it still mentions about how heavy marijuana use will of course wreck your memory and all that jazz. To what benefit are we really fighting for with these kind of studies, I wonder?
