Phil Collins
I just watched the trailer for Vice City Stories and was quite suprised to find all the plug ins Phil Collins is doing for this game. Not only is he on the soundtrack but he is actually in the game, and I'm fairly sure the playable character is doing work for him. Interesting.
I've always been a fan of Phil Collins, whether it be the cheesy 80's synth pop of his solo career or the rockin riffs of Genesis. Heck, even the Tarzan soundtrack had it's moments.
Maybe one of these days, I'll have something real to post about again.

More Political Action

I've posted before about the awesome video I stumbled across on Take Back the Capitol! I like their site because they aren't affiliated with any political party and yet they call to attention the fact that there is something terirbly wrong with the government that anyone can see no matter what side of the spectrum they are on. Now theres another neat little video up there which shows some enlightenment as to just exactly why those pesky gas prices keep going up. This site grows more and more everyday as it's message sparks more and more interest for people.

Why Bother?
My new job requires that I do direct programming to focus on the academic needs of the incoming class of freshman at a state college. In other words, I do a bunch of programs that no one wants to go to and no one bothers to go to. It shocks and depresses me about how little these students care about their education and makes me wonder if they even value the fact that their parents are even sending them to school. Through my evaluations I've seen that these guys are still in such a high school mentality and it makes me wonder who really is or isn't made out for college yet. But since my school has such a low requirement for admission (which will hopefully be raised anyway) they don't feel the need to discriminate those who want a good, inexpensive education as opposed to those jusst going along for the college ride and inevitably screwing themselves over in the end.
There, that rant is done.

Mortgages
Let me tell you, cats, it pays to have a mortgage company that you can rely on. My grandparents finally finished paying off their mortgages after years and years of fraud claims and hidden fees that would drive anyone crazy. I know when it comes down to me and my mortgages, I'll be looking into www.personalhomeloanmortgages.com, since it was just recently brought to my attention that they have an extensive mortage directory and utilize the protected efforts of FTC, DoNotCall, and Can Spam regulations to make sure all of your personal mortage information stays secured and organized. It's a shame my grandparents didnt have wonderful resources like this when they first bought their home back in the day, it probably would have saved them from plenty of these nightmares.

Set Building
I'm in the middle of building sets for STE's "Jack the Ripper" right now, and I must say I have become quite the handyman lately. I've built several sets now and done enough under-the-table contracting work to know a thing or two about what I am doing with power tools, so if worse comes to worse and my acting career goes completly down the tools I'll have some good utilitarian skills under my belt. How about that?
Building this set is making me miss the summer, building the Tommy sets to make the show look awesome but also to spend some quality hitting-on time. That's right I said it. And you know what? Both turned out awesome. Maybe in some perfect world, life will become that simple again.
