The Life of Reidy

The other night I was watching my Animaniacs set that I got for Christmas and towards the end of the second disc there was an episode where all of the different Animaniacs were mixed up and in the wrong cartoons. Brain was with Mindy, Runt was with Pesto, but most significant was the final episode where Yakko, Wakko, and their sister Slappy wound up in a place that they thought was the Bagdhad Cafe. It was actually the palace of "Saddam H-insane" just moments before he was about to bomb the shit out of 3rd world countries and take over the world. Luckily, those wacky Warners managed to stop him in the nick of time...totally by accident. It amazes me how progressive this show was for its time, and how much stuff blew over my head when I was a kid.

And today the headline tells me that Saddam Hussien was finally executed. Strange, strange coincidence.
