The Game Plan
Apparently Disney is making a new movie called the "Game Plan" starring Steve Carrell and the Rock himself, Dwayne Johnson. I guess last week they were filming in my hometown of Worcester at the Holy Cross football field, and now this week they are filming in the empty Macy's at the Northshore Mall, merely a few miles away from where I live now. My friend Paul and I tried to sneak onto the shoot, and we managed to succeed for a while until we met up with a large crew of security people.
I found out about all of this from my friend Chris who was working at Toys R' Us on Friday night when the Rock just walked in to say hello to all of the employees. While at the same time, Steve Carrell was across the lot wandering into Borders. This is pretty cool, considering nobody ever films movies up here in New England anymore. Always exciting to have some Hollywood buzzing around.

Pink Floyd versus The Wizard of Oz
Every college junkie knows the old myth: Apparently if you start watching The Wizard of Oz and then once the MGM lion makes his final roar you begin blasting Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon," the two will magically seem as if they were synchronized together. Almost as if the album were an alternate score for the actual movie itself. Well first of all, it's kind of a sad score if it only happens to last about 40 minutes into the movie. But there are some pretty cool coincidences. For example, when the movie moves from black & white into color is when the cash registers in "Money" start keying in, to perfectly suit the budget of the film skyrocketing. Or theres another great moment when the screaming and wailing perfectly coincides with the winding tornados. It's a pretty neat effect, but only if you get the timing perfectly correct. If this is a problem you have, then you should probably just look into buying The Dark Side of OZ DVD. It's a worthwhile purchase if you want to freak out your friends and see the movie that could have been, wondering just how many drugs the ol' Floyd boys were on. Then you can wonder, was it a coincidence or a consiracy? The world may never know, but at least you won't waste your money grabbing the DVD version with most of the work done for you!

Compaq Help
I do all of my computer work on my handy dandy Compaq Presario, and for the most part I think it is a very reliable machine to use in my server at the office. After the whole fiasco with shipping my PC overseas I have had virtually no problems with the system, but I'm always looking to upgrade. The problem with upgrading your pc is that the parts are usually so expensive. But in the end having the extra hardware to soup up your hard drive always helps, so I figured I would invest in some Used Compaq parts to help boost my PC. Vibrant Technologies is a great service that sells both used and refurbished Compaq parts, and as with most of the great services I recommend to you folks they are backed up with warranties and tested to work or you can be sure to get your hard earned money back. If you are also looking for great prices on those server and compaq upgrades, definatly check them out.
My Office Is A Pirate Ship!
Well, at least it kind of was when I was working at the Pirate Musuem. But wouldn't it be great if we could say that all of the time? Inventionland is a great website service that encourages all of those creative ideas and gets your dream product out of your head and into the consumer market. Sounds a little too good be true, but check out that great YouTube video or go down to Inventionland.com now and see what all of the fuss is about for yourself!

ROCK!
According to This handy little article brought to me by my dear friend katie, there is now a shirt that has been developed in Australia which actually plays music when you air guitar! There are built in sensors in the elbows and the arms that can detect when you want to strum out an imaginary tune, and magicaly air guitar audio samples will play! I can't imagine this shirt having any real utilitarian use, other then the fact that it is just really friggin' cool. And it's perfect for all of those Bill and Ted wannabes. Most non-non henious!
