Voice Over IP
A few entries ago, I was complaining about my phone bills and looking for new ways to communicate with all the connections I need to since they aren't always so close by. After more searching on the ol' web, I stumbled across Cicso systems and the advancements they are making in the fields of VOIP, which stands for Voice over IP. You can check them out for yourself by clicking that link, but basically they offer more efficient, organized resources that businesses can tap into to make sure that the information passed between their coworkers is delivered quickly and through the most appropriate medium. They make use of Video conferencing, integrated voice and web conferencing, Mobile IP soft phones, voicemail, and several other communication tools to cut down your communication expenses. Whether you are in a large business or a smaller business like the ones I work with, the Cisco systems offer some great solutions to simplify those multiple forms of communcation that other people are constantly using to work with us and I highly recommend business owners to at least check it out and see what they have to offer in the new technologies of VOIP

Christopher Nolan
I am very excited for Nolan's new flick, "The Presitge." Though it seems somewhat similar to that magician movie with Edward Norton that came out not too long ago, I have always been a fan of his style since I first saw "Memento." He has such a wonderfully dark way of painting the world and creating environments that engage people into serious thought about things that could seemingly be so simple. Which is why I feel "The Prestige" will be successful, aside from the fact that he has an all star cast including Batman, Wolverine, and Alfred themselves (heh, heh...) as the main roles.
And on that note of Batman, I also heard through the rumor mill that not only will we be getting some Joker action in "The Dark Knight" but we may very likely be seeing some Harvey Dent action, or as well all know him to inevitably become Two-Face. He'll probably just be a minor role for now, much like Lando was whenhe played Harvey Dent (only then to be repalced by Tommy Lee Jones? Thanks for nothing, Joel). I'm picky about these comic books movies, but hey...I feel we avid readers reserve the right to be.

Florida
As many of my friends know, I don't travel much. Last summer however, I was able to travel down to Bonita Springs, Florida to visit my friend while she lived in what we jokingly called "heaven's waiting room." In all sincerity however, I absolutely loved it down there. Florida was, and well...still is, a beautiful state with so many wonderful sights to see. The weather is pretty fair most of the time and there's so much interesting animal life just wondering around the long, stretching roads. Most people head down there for Disneyworld, which is something I have sadly never done but would love to. I'm always up for reliving those childhood moments that I never had. Hopefully, I'll be able to land an internship down there through my school and wind up as an actor through the amusement park. But then again, that's just me thinking about work...when I should really just be thinking about having a nice, peaceful vacation instead. If you're interested in the trill of the travel, the beautiful sights, and of course the awesome-ness that is Disneyworld, you should look into having some Florida Holidays of your own.

Making Movies
We all know what how crazy I am about film. I've been makin movies with my buddies since high school, and now I'm pursuing it as much as possible with my minor and hopefully I'll be making a career out of it when I go to LA. Things can get tricky though, when you're a college kid like me still trying to capture from a monitor or a VCR. Luckily there are handy services the people at VGA Recorder Pro can offer for people like us. It's good for capturing native resolution, so you can get a good, clean signal when capturing VGA, video, and audio tracks at the same time. And it even puts it all on one convinient avi file to make for easy editing afterwards.
Sure beats the old days of hooking up two VCRs to Anthony's TV.

Got Gas?
People are always giving gas a bad rap these days. The government keeps jacking up the prices and we seem to feel that we constantly should be working towards a push in solar or alternate energy sources. Always an advocate about how things work, I feel that us Americans don't really know enough about gas to be making such harsh criticisms about it. There are plenty of things we can learn about gas turbine and it's benefits in the fields of aviation. That link offers a neat little tutorial on how these gas engines work, simply by scrolling over parts of the engine in an interactive picture to learn about exactly what it does. I know when I hop into a plane or any other kind of vehicle, I like to know what I'm up against and you never know when this knowledge might come in handy. Check it out!
