God Of War

I finally completed God of War, and overall I would have to highly recommend the game to anyone in the mood for some good action. All of the fighting is very well designed and the boss fights are incredibly fun. If there were any downside to this game, it would have to be how tedious some of the puzzlesolving can get sometimes. Or maybe it wasn't even the puzzle solving for me, but when it was nit-picky little tasks that could easily kill your character and make you start over constantly it could get a little overbearing. And it was almost insulting to have the game constantly asking if I would like to switch to an easier mode. Nevertheless, I stuck with the origional challenge I set for myself on Normal mode and had a blast stomping around as Kratos as he sought vengence against the God of War himself. I'm looking very forward to see how the sequal next year will enhance and expand the wonderful game that the producers at Sony have constructed.

Cell Phone Problems

I think I need to begin to accapet that I will simply never be happy with any cell phone or cell phone company. Right now, I have Verizon Wireless and a fairly new LG VX5200 and for the most part things run smoothly, but last night I was dropping calls constantly for no reason at all. It can be very frustrating to be talking and having an important conversation be interuptted for seemingly no reason at all. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact taht I'm using a Worcester Area code up in Salem Massachusetts, but according to this handy page about roaming on this neat little Cell Phone Glossary website, I don't even fit those conditions. Luckily I have websites like that one to put my mind at ease about these somewhat daunting and always confusing cell phone issues. One of these days I'll be hitting up the web to check out some of the best free cell phones around which may not be quite as much as a hassle as my current cell phone. If technology really is moving forward, shouldn't we be making the most of it?

R.I.P.

I just heard some tragic news the other night about how someone I went to high school with and worked with at summer camp was in a fatal car accident about a week ago, I just wanted to take a moment to reflect on this unfortunate event.

Life can be very strange and cruel sometimes. Please rest in peace Meredith. You and your family are in our prayers.
