The Lazy-Man Website

I have posted before about all my troubles with making and maintaining my own website. URL fees, content updating and deisgn options can lead to quite the hassle when you just want to get your name up and out there. There are plenty of services out there that will do this busy work for you, but a lot of them tend to do a poor job or not really give you your dollars worth so you must be careful when looking into this as an option. For the actor with a crazy life and several jobs to deal with, I would have to recommend the services that websitesin48hours.com has to offer. The title is no bluff. They really will get you set up with a professional, business oriented page in 48 hours or you will get a full refund. Not to mention, they are much cheaper in price for the quality of work that you get in the amount of time that you get it. It always impresses me when an online product like this will take such time and care into what you need just for the satisfaction of the job well done. Check them out for yourselves, all you fellow web-business dreamers.

Improv Attack!

Grandma's 3rd Leg, has been selected to compete in the Improv Asylum's College SmackDown on Friday, October 13th at midnight. We will compete against another college group, and the decision of who wins is based on an audience vote, so that means we need lots of you, our loyal G3L fans, to come and support us so we can move on to the final round on November 10th!

Tickets are only $7 and can be purchased by calling 617-263-NUTS (6887). If you tell the box office staff that you have a student ID and bring it with you the night of the performance, you can save $2 off your tickets. The Improv Asylum is located at 216 Hanover Street, Boston. Here is a link for directions to The Improv Asylum

We hope to see many of you there. We love you long-time!

Moving

Many of you know I plan on moving out to L.A. at the end of this year. I'm a man who is quite sick of moving from place to place, because I have now officially moved three times in the past 4 months. Moving gets to be a ridiculous hassle for people like me who are always in between homes, and when I move out to LA I fear it will only get worse. So I thought of looking to getting some storage spaces in different cities and I fumbled across this nifty site: Self Storage Directory - Moving.bz

These guys, like most of the sites I rave about, offer a convinient service for people who need to narrow down their options. Moving.bz is a directory for such storage spaces which can help you compare quotes and give you your options. The site is very simple to navigate and it saves you the hassle of wondering where to move your stuff to, but unforntately for me it doesn't save me the hassle of moving my stuff. But any step towards making life easier is a good thing, so check it out for yourself because this guy speaks highly of it.

Hobbit Movie

I was a huge fan of the new Lord of the Rings movie when they came out a few years ago, and I was quite excited when I heard there was speculation of there being a Hobbit movie in the works. Apparently, a huge petition was formed together and now that dream is looking more like a reality. Peter Jackson himself is now currently in the early negotiation stages of making a big screen adaptaion of Tolkien's heart-filled prequel to the Trilogy, "The Hobbit."

Now leaves a question of casting: who will fill the Hobbit feet of Bilbow Baggins? It would probably be unwise at this point to bring in the ol' champ, Ian Holm. Maybe some B-List celebrity, who deserves their chance to shine. Of course, if Andy Serkis and Ian McKellan don't reprise their roles as Gollum and Gandalf respectively, it will take a hard time to convince me that it will be worth it. MGM, don't fail me now.

Rockin' Concerts?

I've been to several concerts in my day, but there are lots of great shows coming up with some legendary acts that I would love to see. My budget is going to be pretty tight with bands like Gun N' Roses and the Who coming back around the country with their hefty price tags. But those are just locally, it's always fun to take a plane out somewhere and go to some random concert across the country. Last year I hit up some of the Houston Rodeo concerts, and next year I want try to hit up some more as well as make a trip out to the Bonaroo Festival. For those who aren't familier with it, the Houston Rodeo concerts have rodeo events all day long and at night they get a band to play, and its a pretty dirty/good time. One event I was particularly checking out on the Houston Rodeo concert tickets page was the John Fogerty show on March 7th. He has always been one of those acts that I keep missing and would love to check out before I'm too old for this concert action before. And since it's a rodeo festival and not just a concert, it is worth the trip to get a whole action packed day of events. Even if you aren't into John Fogerty, they have lots of different bands for these events, each have their own night to steal the stage.

Nintendo Wii

I've posted before about what a strong advocate I am for the new Nintendo Wii. For those of you looking for a quick laugh, here's a funny video that shows there is just no limit to what this system can do!

Seriously though, there is pretty much no comparison. Soon enough we will be into a reality that is so virtual we won't even know what to do with ourselves. Surrender now, fellow bloggers.
